“I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence,” Musk said in response to an audience question during a Q&A on Friday (Oct. 24, 2014). “If I were to guess at what our biggest existential threat is, it’s probably that, so we need to be very careful with artificial intelligence. I’m increasingly inclined to think that there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level just to make sure that we don’t do something very foolish.”
Many people think that the films like terminator is only science fiction fantasy, well it was really possible of course except going back in time. One thing may happen once we have created such machines, consumption of energy & resources will become high, which will increase the speed of destruction of earth. Once there will be lack of resources, people with their machines will start to fight each other, which will further increase destruction of earth.
So, to protect us from such & other destructive scenarios, we should start to make necessary protocols and take necessary measures. We need to make strong environmental protocols, but not up to a level that corporations take that as offence, we should make everybody part of such things. We need to provide cultures to corporate sector and normal people. Musk is right about his statement “that there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level just to make sure that we don’t do something very foolish.”
As for man developing a source of artificial intelligence that can supply answers to our inexplicable problems this new knowledge tends to produce even more problems in approximate proportion to the amount of new information we discovers. If man were really wise, man should seek from God the answers through His revelation, the Bible. Man cannot find lasting solutions to his problems because they are, at their core, spiritual in nature (Isaiah 59). Unless and until humanity as a whole is ready to recognize the true source of its problems, and seeks God’s solutions, we will continue to face the dilemmas and difficulties that have plagued mankind for thousands of years.
